6-day Porto & Coast Culture and Gastronomy Tour

On this second day, they will visit Ribeira where a local private guide shows us one of the oldest neighborhoods in Porto. Hidden in narrow alleys that will lead us to the side of the Douro River, culminating in the Dom Luís I Bridge. After the impressive walk, we'll sit down for lunch in the historic center, where we'll enjoy local specialties. After a delicious lunch, we go to the beautiful De Wine Experience in WOW (World of Wine). This is the world's largest wine exhibition, combining cutting-edge technology with ancient traditions. A true experience! For dinner, we'll sit down at a classic traditional Portuguese restaurant this evening.

After breakfast, we will start slowly today and visit the Serralves Museum & Gardens. The Serralves Museum with its beautiful gardens is a Museum of Contemporary Art. Temporary exhibitions are held and the gardens alone are beautiful, where you are completely in a park. At this beautiful location, we have lunch at the Serralves museum café. After returning to our Harbour Inn Design Townhouse Matosinhos hotel, you can spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure for a walk or, for example, a visit to the beach. This evening, our private driver will take us back to Porto to have dinner in a modern restaurant.

On day four of our wonderful trip, we go to the Douro Valley. The Douro Valley is famous for its many beautiful wineries located on the slopes along the Rio Douro. It will be a wonderful day where we visit a few wineries, taste wines and also have lunch at a wine estate. The Douro Valley is one of the oldest and most beautiful wine regions in Europe and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The landscape consists of steep terraces lined with vines along the winding Douro River. The region is world famous for its port wines and high-quality red and white wines. This day, as written, we will visit traditional wine estates (quintas) and combine culture, history and gastronomy. The Douro Valley stands for peace, refinement and authenticity and is an absolute highlight of the trip. After our visit to the Douro Valley, we will return to Matosinhos and end the day with a seaside dinner later in the evening.

Throughout the morning, there is free time to go to the beach or relax on the hotel terrace. At the end of the afternoon, we'll leave for Porto where we'll board a six-bridge Douro River cruise. Enjoy the last evening with a great cruise where we discover Porto in a completely different way. From the water, you can enjoy stunning views of the six bridges, Porto's Ribeira now from the water and the Douro Estaury Nature Reserve near the river mouth. Afterwards, we walk to one of Jan Gerard's favorite restaurants for the farewell dinner where memories, highlights and delicious conversations are shared with each other.

After breakfast and check-out, we get ready for the transfer to Porto Airport. Once here, Jan Gerard says goodbye to you personally, returning home with a suitcase full of beautiful moments, memories and friendships.
